$300. room I rented in someone’s home.

Yes, back in 2001 I needed a place to stay. I just received notice of a part time job being offered to me. Checking the local newspaper, there were a few ads for a “room” to rent. The room was small but came with all the bedroom furniture and the shared bathroom was just across the hall. Yes, kitchen was shared also. How many people would share this house? The owners lived downstairs and the three bedrooms were rented out by students attending school at a near by Grad School in the area. plus myself. Life was interesting when all three had to get ready for school or work. Oh, the kitchen came with  a mascot too! Actually, I never thought I would say I know how to catch mice, but yes, I really am pretty good at it! $300. a month rent paid in cash. You see, I didn’t have a checking account.  Past financial issues prevented me at that time to have one. I was proud I could pay the landlord in cash. I was always on time and they appreciated it. After three years living like this, I was able to afford my “own” apartment! Yes, an apartment for $400. a month. Praise God! He always comes through for me. I was so happy to have my own place. My own living room, bath, and bedroom. How cool! I lived there for 4 years and then was able to afford my own townhome. Life kept getting better and better. Thanks to lots of prayers and positive thoughts. Remember to knock and the door will be opened, trust this is the right opportunity for you!
