To thumb a ride or not? Pick up or not?

Ok, so I may have passed this guy up  many times, but today I felt lead to help him out. His face is rugged and always has the same blue jacket on. This guy is always hitch hiking up hwy 8 for down. I didn’t want to stop on the highway, so I pulled into the Subway parking lot and called, “hey, where do you need to go?” He came running and crying, ” I need to get to the bus, my mom died.” I found out his name was Alan, and he lived in Wisconsin. He was thumbing it to Roseville to get a bus to Albert Lea, where his sister lived. His mom past away last night and he was repeating, ” he needs to be on the 3:30 pm bus for Albert Lea, MN.” He looked a little tired and was very emotional. I felt the Lord nudge me to help him with a ride. Yes, I was a bit nervous. I don’t usually do this kind of thing. I was able to help him get to a better spot down the road that had more traffic.  He mentioned the cost of his bus ticket. He only had 36 cents and needed $18.36.  Well, like in the past the Lord made it possible for me to help him. You see I had just cashed a twenty at the store and had exactly $18.00 on me. When he got out of the car to start thumbing it again. I asked him to wait by the sign for a minute. Then I felt ok getting the cash out of my purse. I prayed he found a ride to the Roseville to catch  his bus. How would you feel if you were in his shoes? Knowing you had to thumb a ride to your sisters, when the night before your mother passed away and nothing would stop you from going to say your last good byes!  So just remember, your next twenty you cash may have heavenly wings on it!  You can have a dream business of your own. I can help you get started. Check out my website at     God Bless you!  Kathy
